Goodbye Kylie!

Our favourite Coronation Street, resident Kylie Platt sadly leaves the street tonight in a dramatic way! We can’t believe it either. We’ve seen her go from the wild exotic dancer to the tamed Mum of two and beautician in her husbands salon. As well as a killer, but lets not dwell on that!

The details of how Kylie passes away are being kept under tight wraps by those at ITV but these tearjerking pictures show an emotional farewell to one of our favourite characters, catching her final breath on possibly the famous cobbles in the world. The scenes will air at 7:30pm and 8:30pm tonight (July 15th) – ending weeks of rumours about Kylie’s death.

Filming the tragic scenes took its toll on Jack P. Shepherd (David Platt) who revealed he broke down into tears when reading the script for the first time.

In the scenes, we see Jack crying – admitting that his tears were in fact real saying “When the cameras stopped filming I couldn’t stop crying the tears were very real. They are the most moving scenes I have ever had to film.” – pretty strong words from one of the nations best young actors who has had some incredible storylines over the years.

Speaking on the death of Kylie, Jack has also said that it will see the return of “crazy out of control David.” He also went on to say: “he is lashing out and behaving in a way which really starts to worry his family. There is a lot more drama in the coming months as David struggles to come to terms with losing Kylie.” – I for one will have a pack of tissues ready whilst watching the two episodes as we prepare to bid farewell to the incredible Paula Lane.
