2018, the Year of The Woman. Celebrating 100 years since women in the United Kingdom were given the right to vote. Society changes everyday and we are still faced with gender inequality. Something which needs to change.
Celebrity Big Brother are making 100 years since women were given the vote with The Year of The Woman on the show, with the programme dedicated to women for four whole days. Launch night tonight also saw an all female audience.
As a huge fan of the show, the all female line-up is one of the best I have ever seen. With contestants from all walks of life and different levels of fame – it is set to be one of the best years in Celebrity Big Brother. However, I’m not too keen on the interview feature and the hugging and speaking to loved ones before housemates go into the house and it seems as though I’m not the only one! Celebrity Big Brother legend, Nicola McLean also agrees!
Noooooo stop it!!! Hugging family before going in !! This is too much change for me #CBBUK line up

Here’s the low-down:
Ann Widdecombe entered the house first to a roar of cheers, which shocked me to be honest given that she was quite a controversial MP! However, she does appear to be a lovely woman and I cannot wait to watch her journey in the CBB house!
Ann was closely followed by Khloe Kardashian’s BFF Malika Haqq! Ever so casual, right? Malika looked incredible as always, I mean – if you’re a star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians it’s pretty much the law to always be glamorous isn’t it? Fans are hoping that Malika will spill all the details on the Kardashian sisters’ pregnancies but who knows what is going to happen!
My favourite journalist & Boris Johnsons’s sister, Rachel Johnson has also entered the house which I am thrilled about! I’m sure Rachel will go far in the show this year following her Fathers recent stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle!
Hoxton Radio presenter and DJ Ashley James also entered the house! Ashley is a lovely young woman and is also a social media influencer and blogger so it’s nice to see somebody doing it for #TeamInternet! I wish her so much luck!
Journalist and Broadcaster India Willoughby also entered the house after an emotional chat about starting her life and career as a man. India told host Emma Willis how she felt free and liberated after transitioning to become a woman several years ago.
Housemate number six is former Detective Constable Maggie Oliver, best known for exposing the Rochdale Grooming Gang. A little fact for you, Maggie was played by Lesley Sharpe in the BBC drama Three Girls!
Glamour Model Jess Impiazzi entered the house wanting to banish stereotypes of glamour mAodels, which I hope she does. I also found out she’s climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, how bloody impressive! I’d love to climb Kilimanjaro one day, maybe in a couple of years.
Last but not least, the INCREDIBLE Amanda Barrie. TV legend. Is there a way to introduce her? Other than national treasure? Known for various television roles such as Carry On and Coronation Street – I’m sure Amanda is going to go far this year!
