Man injured after falling through window

Eyewitnesses at the scene report a large number matrix vans, police cars & an air ambulance.

At around 2:20pm, a man was seriously injured after falling through a window following a fight in a hair salon on Oxton Road, Birkenhead and was taken to hospital. The man was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.

Detective Inspector Siobhan Gainer said:

At this early stage of the investigation the exact circumstances of this incident are unclear but we are keen to speak to anyone in the area are Charing Cross who saw an altercation or any suspicious behaviour this afternoon.

Given the prime location and time of the incident, Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses and urging the public to contact them via @MerPolCC, call 101 with incident number 502 or @CrimestoppersUK anonymously on 0800 555 111.
